Week 8 Results
Week 1-4, Season 11-25-4, All Time 204-189-7
The last 8 weeks have been disastrous for my picks, and I am now picking at a clip of just 30%. Thirty percent is so bad, it's almost statistically significant even with just 8 weeks of data. Though my worst stretch by percentage, it's surprisingly not my worst stretch by games. From Week 17 of the 2013 season and Week 12 of the 2014 season, I went 25-40. Though over a longer period of time, that stretch was still worse on a "wins under .500" basis.
A commonality between that stretch and this one is timing. 2014 and 2016 have been two of the busiest times in my life, and I can say in retrospect that it's been difficult to think with clarity on some of these games. Going forward, I will still continue to make picks, but I will not be writing up any analysis. In part because I'd like to dedicate as much time as possible to actually picking games, and in part because the analysis itself is probably not worth the disk space.
